The idea behind this project is to take a virtual company and create a brick and mortar retail store. Emphasis is placed on promoting the already existing brand. I chose the site LivingSocial.com for my retail design. LivingSocial is a vibrant company focusing on local shopping deals, social adventures and escapes. My retail store combines all three of these aspects by merging the retail portion with a lounge/bar and travel agency. Customers can purchase items through a rotating display or book trips and events on the premises by utilizing iPods or employees at the lounge/bar. The location serves as a social hub, inviting people to shop, drink, meet before or after events, and book future adventures. The bold colors of the LivingSocial logo are brought to life through pathways leading to categorized activities/gear promoted.
